Luca Ottinetti

Managing Director, Chicago

Luca is the Managing Director and Founder of Great Prairie Group. He has 25 years of experience in strategy formulation and strategy execution, serving Fortune 500 companies and fast-growth start-ups in domestic and global markets, including U.S., Europe and Asia.

Before founding GPG, Luca was a Principal with A.T. Kearney’s North American Strategy Practice. He started his career in strategy and operations with Bain & Company’s Paris and Milan office. Before that, he consulted on nuclear reactor safety engineering with Pickard, Lowe & Garrick.

Luca has extensive experience in business level strategy, corporate strategy and strategy implementation in multiple industries, including automotive, industrial goods (aerospace, heavy equipment, metals, chemicals, naval vessels), technology (missiles and satellites, clean tech, computer hardware and software, electronics, e-business, IT services), airlines and logistics (air, intermodal). He started his career in engineering, performing probabilistic risk assessments for U.S. nuclear reactors.

He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, a D.E. and MSc in Nuclear Engineering from MIT, and MS and BS in Nuclear and Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University.
